The material on this page is presented in the same order as in the conference. The brochure for the conference can be found through the brochure page (see menu above) or through the button here. Don't forget to use "Back" on your browser to return safely.

Please also look at the pages on Agriculture Facts and Environment Facts for the website as a whole, and the page on Land Value Issues that pertains to this 2003 conference (see menus above). In particular from the Land Value Issues page, refer to the short paper on the transformation of farmland to forestland and other uses, and to the short summary of Alabama agriculture.

Most speakers had both an oral presentation and some audio-visual aids (usually slides in electronic format). Where possible, we give both a short summary (about 500 words) of each presentation in the words of the presenter, and the complete set of slides from the presenter. Often the slides can form a stand-alone set of useful information. In a couple of cases, the site developer (Mike Polioudakis) summarized talks, and indicates where he has done that. In a few cases, the speakers did not provide us with any summary of their talk and we did not feel it appropriate to write one for them. Some speakers did not use visual aids at all or did not use electronic visual aids (some speakers used only slides or transparencies), and for them no button will be available for electronic visual aids. From all the speakers, all the electronic visual aids that were used are available here. All the material should be in MS-Word and MS-PowerPoint format. You should be able to download most of the material. However, we ask you not to cite any of this material without the express consent of the presenter because the availability of the material here is not the same as publication. Thanks.
