Basic Guidelines for Facebook

Request must be made to the Office of Agricultural Communications and Marketing (Leigh Hinton at or Katie Jackson at or by appropriate authority, (i.e. department head, etc.).

Ag Communications and Marketing staff will create page with someone in their office as administrator. Local administrators will then be added based on who needs access.  The named individuals must first become a fan of page before they can be added as an administrator.  Rationale for this is to ensure there are no “official” College of Ag- or AAES-related pages that do not have an Auburn employee as an administrator.

Unless there is a created logo the default image will be the College of Ag or AAES logo.

Ag Communications and Marketing will create boilerplate copy for the Info tab on new Facebook pages. 

The Ag Communications and Marketing staff will review pages periodically to make sure the page is on mission.  However, the site will not be policed by Ag Communications and Marketing unless there is an issue such as using copyrighted images, inappropriate language or plagiarism.
