Changing Majors

To change your major at Auburn University you must follow one of the following processes:

To change to a major outside the College of Agriculture other than to the College of Business:

  1. You need to make sure that you meet all requirements, including GPA, to enter the major or college to which you want to change.
  2. You need to pick up your academic records from the College of Agriculture Student Services Office in 103 Comer Hall. At this time a form will be issued for you to change your major.
  3. You will then take your records and this form to the dean’s office of the college in which your new major is located.

To change to the College of Business:

  1. You must fill out an application to change to the College of Business. You will find this application in 023 Lowder Business Building.
  2. You will receive an email stating that you are eligible to transfer to the College of Business, if you meet their requirements.
  3. You will then follow steps two and three above.

To change your major within the College of Agriculture:

You will need to come to the College of Agriculture Student Services Office in 103 Comer Hall and fill out a change of major form. You will receive a new curriculum sheet with the courses you have completed marked off.

To change your major into the College of Agriculture:

  1. You must pick up your academic records from your current Dean’s office, as well as a change of major form.
  2. You will then bring these records to the College of Agriculture Student Services Office in 103 Comer Hall and the change of major form will be completed for you.
