Advising and Registration

Faculty Advisors

As a new student in the College of Agriculture, you will be assigned a faculty advisor. You will be notified by mail of your faculty advisor's name and office address.

Your advisor will be a valuable resource for you during your time at Auburn University. In addition to providing you with general advice, your advisor can:

  1. Help you register for your courses (your advisor's signature must be on your Advising Form, which will be available from your advisor during each registration period);
  2. Provide assistance in locating jobs, internship opportunities, and part-time work, and give you letters of recommendation; and
  3. Work out a plan of study for your future courses.

NOTE: A list of advance course offerings in the College of Agriculture is available below.

Some departments have a special advising process to be followed and will notify you about the process by e-mail. Please pay attention to the email and follow this process because people you need to see to register may be available only during certain times.

Set up a time to see your advisor during advising week. See your advisor as soon as possible to find the best time for you and him/her to meet.
