Borers, particularly ambrosia beetles, are among the most problematic pest groups identified by nursery producers in the eastern United States. This objective of this site is to provide a point source for information related to the biology and management of ambrosia beetles in horticultural production. The sections of this page summarize the known literature on Ambrosia beetles in general and specific information about those causing economic losses in horticultural production. This effort was made possible by a research-extension grant provided by the Specialty Crop Research Initiative.
