Course Objective:

    The objective of this course is to provide you with an advanced understanding of the theory and practice of urban pest management. We will discuss many aspects of pest biology, behavior, ecology, morphology, and physiology relative to control strategies. We will also discuss aspects of building construction, food storage, and textile chemistry that affect pest problems and pest management.

  3. Fabric pests.

  4. Arachnids.

  5. Fleas.

  6. Stored products pests.

  7. Vertebrate pests.

  8. Ants, bees, and wasps.

  9. Miscellaneous arthropod pests.

  10. Fungi and wood-destroying arthropods.

  11. Termites.

  12. Entomophobia, cable mite dermatitis, IPM and biological control revisited, urban ecology.
