Dr. William E. Martin, Jr. was laid to rest, Sunday, January 23, 2000 in West Point, Georgia.  St. John's Episcopal Church and the Rev. J. Larrie Smith officiated the "Celebration" of Dr. Martin's life.

Dr. Martin was an only child and had no children to carry on his legacy, but he had MANY friends who will never forget him.  Friends with whom Evan left such a mark on their lives that they were changed forever.  He was a very spiritual man and he shared his spirituality freely.  Below is a prayer that Evan wrote down on October 9, 1994 after receiving it from above.  This is a powerful message to leave us all with.

OH, HOLY ONES OF HEAVEN
OH, HOLY ONES IN ME
WE ARE ALL ONE IN YOU
AND YOU ARE ONE WITH US.
PRAISE GOD,
PRAISE GOD AND GODDESS,
FOR WE HAVE MADE THIS EARTH
TO TEACH ALL TO DWELL TOGETHER
IN LOVE AND PEACE FOREVER
AMEN.

Evan was really into computer technology!  That is the common thread that he tied us all together with.  Back in December he had asked me to help him put up a web page....but that never happened.
