Environmental Stewardship in Animal Agriculture
A joint effort of the Alabama Cooperative Extension System and the Auburn University College of Agriculture, focusing attention stewardship of land and water for all of animal agriculture.
Extension Program:
Provide statewide leadership for Extension programs targeting Extension professionals, livestock producers and agribusiness in the areas of:
Meat Animal Quality Assurance: Beef Quality Assurance, Pork Quality Assurance

Faculty advisor for the Swine Research and Education Complex (SREC)
conduct applied research in the areas of nutritient management and waste utilization
Dry matter forage yield and nutrient uptake of various triticale varieties
Effects of grazing livestock on surface water quality
Effects of replacing corn with triticale on nutrient composition and fertilizer value of swine manure, animal performance and carcass composition
AU-SPICE: Swine Production in Concert with the Environment
