| Job Responsibility: | **This is a 3 year limited term position and is funded from external sources. Continuation of employment is contingent upon availability of funds.** The selected candidate will be responsible for conducting High-density SNP chips design and Quantitative Genetics research of catfish and will be expected to work on the Next Generation sequencing data analysis. | |
| Job Qualifications: | The minimum qualification are a Ph.D. from an accredited institution in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, or related fields. Employer will consider advanced degrees in lieu of experience. Familiarity with routine protein and DNA techniques as evidenced by relevant, peer-reviewed publications is required. The successful candidate should be familiar with UNIX environment, MySQL database management, Perl programming, and GBrowse. In addition, the successful candidate must be highly motivated, independent, possess multi-tasking skills, capable of working in a collaborative environment, and immediately prepared to be a team leader. The candidate selected for this position must be able to meet eligibility requirements for work in the United States at the time appointment is scheduled to begin and continue working legally for the proposed term of employment. Salary will be commensurate with education and experience. Desired qualifications include experience with SNP genotyping, linkage and physical mapping analysis.
