your senior year.

Scholarship
Opportunities
Each year, the Department of Poultry Science offers offers over
$100,000 in tuition scholarships. Approximately half of student
body cwrently receives annual scholarship funding. Our department
is lucky enough to have the largest amount of scholarship money
available per student in the College of Agriculture. Although great
grades are a must, our scholarship committee also considers school
and community involvement, extracurricular activities, and your
personal interest in a career in poultry. Do you think you should
be considered for a scholarship? Check out our scholarship
guidelines to see if you meet the requirements!

Curriculum Options
Here in the Department of Poultry Science, we offer three exciting
curriculum tracks.
- Our Poultry Science Pre-Vet
option allows students the opportunity to take courses that will
prepare them for vet school, other health profession programs,
and graduate school. This is a heavily science-based curriculum
with a strong emphasis in pre-professional program preparedness.
- Our Poultry Science Processing
and Products option allows students to hone their skills in
the areas of poultry, meat, and food sciences. We like to say
that it will take you from "the chicken to the chicken sandwich".
- Our Poulty Science Production
option is the most general of all three tracks. It allows students
to get a clear view of the poultry industry, while carving their
own niche for future careers. Electives
for Poultry Production Curriculum.

"Spread
Your Wings" as an Intern
As a member of the Auburn Poultry Science student body, you will
be required to do an internship. Internships are a wonderful way
to meet potential employers, gain knowledge of the industry, obtain
college credit, and earn extra money. These are usually done during
summer break and many of our students complete more that one. Our
students have interned not only locally, but have traveled all over
the world. Many companies also prefer to hire outstanding inters
after graduation. It is a win-win for everyone.
