"I learned more the real-world applications and expectations versus the classroom. Sure in a perfect situation you can expect one thing, but in reality it can be different. The classroom experience gives a great basis to build upon. I enjoyed learning the equipment, their names, functions, how to use computer programs, enter data and analysis it to see where the problem may be. One of the toughest things was learning how to analyze the houses and equipment problems. It was more on-site training then anything else." |

"This summer I worked at Southern Pride Farms (a live layer operation which supplies Weiss Lake Egg Company Inc. with their eggs). I also was fortunate enough to work in all extensions of Weiss Lake Egg Company (WLE) including all packaging steps, maintenance and all business matters. This experience has enlightened me in all areas of the process necessary to get one dozen of eggs from the farm to the stamped and packed carton that is sent to the consumer." |
