Processing & Products

Our Poultry Science Processing and Products option, the only one of its kind in the nation, allows students to hone their skills in the areas of poultry, meat, and food sciences. This innovative track gives students a broad-based degree and prepares them for unlimited career opportunities within the poultry and food industries. We like to say that it will take you from “the chicken to the chicken sandwich.”

In this option, students learn how to create a variety of meat products and create their own new poultry products. They develop a marketing plan and present this plan and product samples to faculty, staff, and even industry representatives who evaluate the student’s creations.
