Poultry and Egg Safety and Quality Peak of Excellence (PPSQ) |
Robert A. Voitle is a native of Parkersburg, West Virginia. He holds 40% teaching, 42% extension, and 18% research appointment. His research focuses on layers and egg quality. Current teaching responsibilities include Introductory Poultry, as well as undergraduate and graduate Product Courses. He is heavily involved in recruiting and advising in the Department. Memberships include Poultry Science, Gamma Sigma Delta, Sigma Xi, and he serves on the Foundation Board of the Alabama Poultry & Egg Association. 1000 - Introduction to Poultry Science EXTENSION / OUTREACH:Extension programming is designed to address youth programming in the poultry area as well as production, processing, and further processing techniques in poultry, particularly with laying hens. Much of the emphasis is on improved quality and safety. RESEARCH:Research programming is centered around cooperative efforts with Dr. Roland in the area of the laying hen and eggs, so that the needs of the clientele are met.SELECTED SCIENTIFIC PUBLICATIONS:Roland, D.
