Study ToursAgricultural study tours provide educational experiences to students, faculty, alumni, and friends. In recent years, faculty have led groups to Argentina, Brazil, Europe, and various other locales. Service learning tours combine work and participation in rural community life and projects with experience in a development country setting.
ACADEMIC CREDITFaculty members whowant student participants to get credit for an international experience in a course they enrolled in the semester of the trip should complete the following form. OIE will enroll them in Auburn Abroad - EMBEDDED - No Fee. This notation remains on their transcript indicating that they went abroad during the semester. When the faculty leader submits the RAT50 package for all those traveling together, the faculty member should be sure to complete the bottom portion of the AU Emergency Medical Assistance--adding all participants' names. The cost is $4 per day for duration of the program, from each participant (note as leader, your charge is $40) and deliver a copy of the AU Emergency Medical Assistance Form to OIE (note that original of this form has to accompany your RAT50 form).
