Roses are an extremely popular flower with a very significant problem. Sunny, moist climates encourage the proliferation of foliar diseases which usually require frequent applications of fungicides to keep the leaves from becoming covered in unsighly black spots. Researchers at Auburn University have been studying the disease resistance of groundcover or shrub roses to these diseases.
