SCIENTIFIC NAME: Pinus sylvestris

COMMON NAME: scotch pine

LEAVES: 2 needles/fascicle with a bluish tint. 4" long or less and stiff.

BARK:

OTHER: Used as a Christmas tree in the northern United States. Native to Canada and Michigan (where it grows 60' to 80' tall) so it doesn't tolerate heat very well. Cones are small. Don't use in the landscape this far south.
