SCIENTIFIC NAME: Toxicodendron toxicodendron (Rhus toxicodendron)

COMMON NAME: poison oak

FLOWERS: White flowers in the axils in May.

LEAVES: Trifoliate with 3 pubescent leaflets and coarse lobes.

GROWTH HABIT: A free standing plant. Never climbs and not a vine. Can grow 4' to 5' tall, but is usually around 1' to 2'.

OTHER: Is poisonous to many people. A person who is immune can lose their immunity at any time, so contact with the plant should be avoided. Will grow in almost any soil or light condition.
