FLOWERS: Small, pink inflorescence that blooms from mid-March to early April.

LEAVES: Small, juniper like foliage.

GROWTH HABIT: Usually multi-trunked small tree that grows 10' to 15' tall.

OTHER: Does better in the cooler climates because it doesn't tolerate heat too well. It is salt tolerant. Has lenticels on the twigs. A member of the Tamaricaceae family.
