SCIENTIFIC NAME: Viburnum rhytidophyllum

COMMON NAME: leatherleaf viburnum

FLOWERS: Clusters of white flowers in the spring that are not very fragrant.

GROWTH HABIT: Grows 6' to 12' tall.

LEAVES: Opposite and has a hairy petiole and underside. Upperside of leaf is leathery. Has rabbit ear buds on the ends of the twigs. 4" to 6" long with appressed venation.

OTHER: Hardy zone 5 to 8. Needs well drained soil. Very loose growing so it needs to be pruned to keep nice looking. Tends to sucker a lot. Will grow in sun or shade.
