SCIENTIFIC NAME: Rhododendron eriocarpum 'Gumpo'

COMMON NAME: gumpo azalea

FLOWERS: White and pink from May until June. 2" to 2 1/2" in diameter. Comes in white, pink, flowering forms.

GROWTH HABIT: Grows 12' tall and 2' to 3' wide with low, tight growth.

LEAVES: Very small and narrow (up to 1" long and 1/4" wide) with short internodes. Pubescent on the top and bottom.

OTHER: Hardy to zone 7. Must have an acid soil and part shade to full sun. People generally ask for gumpos by color. Will tolerate sun better than many azaleas.
