SCIENTIFIC NAME: Ilex X 'Emily Bruner' (Ilex cornuta X Ilex latifolia)

COMMON NAME: Emily Bruner holly

LEAVES: Alternate. Up to 5" long and 2" wide with a rounded tip. The margins of the leaf are nearly parallel. Coarse spines all the way around the leaf. Dark green above and light green below.

FLOWERS: Pistillate. Female plant.

FRUIT: Large red fruit that are very showy.

OTHER: Grows 8 - 12' in height. Transplants well. Becoming very popular. The cultivar 'James Swan' is the male counterpart used mainly for breeding purposes.
