SCIENTIFIC NAME: Ilex crenata 'William Jackson'

COMMON NAME: William Jackson Japanese holly

FLOWERS: Staminate. Male plant.

GROWTH HABIT: Grows 3' tall and from 3' to 5' wide with a horizontal branching pattern. A bigger plant than Ilex crenata 'Helleri'.

LEAVES: Lighter in color and longer in length than Ilex crenata 'Helleri'. Narrow leaves that taper to the base.

OTHER: Has a spreading shape like a juniper. Not drought tolerant. Looks very similar to Ilex crenata 'Repandens'. This plant can do well as a juniper substitute in certain situations.
