SCIENTIFIC NAME: Ilex crenata 'Helleri'

COMMON NAME: Heller Japanese holly

FLOWERS: Staminate. Male plant.

GROWTH HABIT: Small shrub that grows 1' to 3' tall and 3' to 5' wide.

LEAVES: Serrated margins with yellow bristle tip on the end. Up to 1/2" long.

OTHER: Hardy to Pennsylvania. Male plants, so there are no fruit. Has green twigs that are flexible. Needs lots of water (not drought tolerant).
