SCIENTIFIC NAME: Ficus pumila

COMMON NAME: climbing fig, creeping fig

GROWTH HABIT: Climbing vine.

LEAVES: Alternate and heart-shaped with an inequilateral base. Juvenile leaves are smaller (less than 1/2" wide and long) than the adult leaves (up to 3' long). Often punctate (little dots) underneath.

OTHER: Hardy to zone 8 (Auburn south). Suction cups hold plants to walls and climbs very well. Adult leaves will stick out from walls. Does well in sun or shade. A member of the Moraceae family.
