GROWTH HABIT: Grows 3' to 5' tall and wide.
LEAVES: Large leaf that has 7 to 9 serrated, palmate lobes and a long petiole (up to 2 1/2' long). Deep sinuses and has a waxy, shiny look. Leaves up to 2"long.
OTHER: Hardy to zone 8. Has red fruit. Likes shade and well drained soil. Can be used as an indoor plant. Drought tolerant and gives a tropical effect. A member of the Araliaceae family. A 6" by 6" specimen of this species grew under the overhang at the front entrance to dad's office. It was magnificent and tolerated that shady droughty situation with distinction.
