The National Christmas Tree Association offers a good description and photos of many of the tree species grown as Christmas Trees in Alabama. Trees of interest to Alabama growers are Virginia Pine, Leyland Cypress, Arizona Cypress, Eastern White Pine (for north Alabama growers) and Eastern Red Cedar. We will be adding some others that are being explored under the soon-to-be heading of Experimental Christmas Trees for Alabama.
