Hello Everyone,
Prior to my switch from commercial horticulture to teaching and home grounds, I wrote a newsletter called Something to Grow On. I enjoyed that communication and I think it was helpful to the agents and clientele to be able to visit and revisit common concerns and ideas. I wanted to do that again with home horticulture but needed to find the right format so it could be a quick or scan-able read, searchable for revisits, and in a spot where you were not required to remember to check on it from time-to-time. I think we have the spot that will work.
We will continue to use the Landscape/Horticulture site but this new feature will be recognized under the name HORT Shorts which is appropriate for the idea of quick in-and-outs and possible referrals to other sources if more information is needed. I will send out an email to the home grounds list so you will not have to remember to see if anything has been posted. Also, the search engine will let you find past Hort-Shorts if you need the answers or ideas again. I will try to publish pictures so you can use them in your presentations if you need them.
I hope this new resource will help you in your program.
Ken
