Graduate Education

Graduate education can be a rewarding experience. There are many doors of opportunity that can be opened for a graduate degree, which would otherwise not be available to a bachelor's level degree.

Auburn Horticulture prides itself on graduate students that produce excellent research that is significant to the horticulture industry.

Graduate study in Horticulture is primarily directed toward the Master of Science (M.S.) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degrees.  Graduates are prepared for careers in teaching, research, business, production, public service, or extension.  Master’s level programs are available to students with undergraduate degrees in Horticulture and those from other fields seeking opportunities in Horticulture-related careers.
