PLANET is a professional organization. The PLANET chapter at AU is affiliated with a national organization, PLANET (Professional Landcare Network), that is involved in all aspects of the landscape horticulture industry.

PLANET is a service organization. PLANET members participate in community service projects at local elementary schools, high schools, and other organizations.

PLANET is a social organization. Participation in PLANET means getting to know other horticulture students through cookouts, social events, sports, and travel.
