Summary/Recommendations/Objectives:
The present report covers the
period October 1977 through
September 1978 and represents a
continuation of the West Point Reservoir
fisheries and limnologica1
investigations. This study emphasizes the
biological and limnological
inter-relationships of a new impoundment.
West Point reservoir is on the
Chattahoochee River and forms an impoundment
of 10,457 hectares. Study
objectives include documenting changes in the physical,
chemical and biological characteristics
of the reservoir over a 10-year
period with emphasis on detection
of those factors contributing to the
expected decline in
sport fishing success.
