Pond Dynamics/Aquaculture Collaborative Research Support Program

The Pond Dynamics/Aquaculture Collaborative Research Support Program (PD/A CRSP) focuses on improving the efficiency of aquaculture systems. Since 1982 this CRSP has brought together the resources of developing countries and U.S. institutions to increase the efficiency of pond culture systems and to disseminate successful aquaculture strategies.

PD/A CRSP began work in 1982 in Thailand, the Philippines, Honduras, Rwanda, Indonesia, and Panama. Research continues today in Thailand, the Philippines, Honduras, Kenya and the U.S. At all sites the goal is the same: to identify constraints to aquacultural production, and to design responses that are environmentally and culturally appropriate. Researchers from host countries and the U.S. design and implement the research agenda.

Auburn researchers are participating in PD/A CRSP projects in Kenya, Honduras, Brazil, South Africa and Thailand.
