ICAAE Mission Statement
The mission of the International Center for Aquaculture and Aquatic Environments is to protect and conserve water and related environmental resources, to advance knowledge of water and environmental resources through education and research, and to enhance economic opportunities for people who depend upon water and environmental resources for their livelihoods and well-being.

About ICAAE

The Center is an interdisciplinary and international outreach department of the college of Agriculture at Auburn University. It draws upon the expertise found in various units and other departments of the university, especially the Department of Fisheries and Allied Aquacultures.

The Center promotes and implements activities in aquatic and related natural resources that have international scope, and that contribute to globalization of Auburn University’s educational, research and outreach missions.

The principal resource of the Center is the associated faculty who participate in international activities. The Center facilitates their work in many ways, including identification of project opportunities, support for proposal preparation, coordination of activities, procurement of funding, communications, publication of project results, and business management.

The Center also encourages student involvement in international activities on campus, and provides guidance and support for student experiences abroad.
