Field crew assembling lengths of transit pipe

Field crew assembling lengths of transit pipe
Description: Field crew assembling lengths of transit pipe (by use of collars fitted with rubber rings) for the drainpipe on S-_. Prior technique of joining lengths of transit pipe had required a hydraulic jack to pull the collars into place. The type of joint on this line required a special soap to lubricate the joint and it was then snapped together by hand. The man in the checked jacket was a company representative sent to assist in this new assembly technique. 19__
