Catfish Farmers of America

The purpose of my research program is to investigate risk factors that lead to disease development and transmission in fish culture production systems and wild fishery populations. This research also includes investigating methods to decrease the impact of diseases through evaluation of culture management techniques, therapeutic agents, vaccines, and diagnostic protocols. The information generated from this research is then taught to fish farmers and fishery biologists to help manage overall health of fish populations.
