My research takes a classical approach to determining causes of infectious diseases in marine and freshwater fish and shellfish.  My research also is determining affects of Vibrio spp in public health and in infectious disease of aquatic animals.  I also study affects of Perkinsus marinus (“dermo”) in oyster populations in Mobile Bay and the Gulf of Mexico.
