Summary/Recommendations/Objectives:

In August 1980, Rhodamine B dye was used to determine the flow patterns in the
Tennessee River of the effluent released from the Monsanto Plant
waste-treatment outfall located in Decatur, Alabama. The objective of the study
was to establish the dilution pattern of the waste in the Tennessee River. The
patterns were monitored within a 2,000 m stretch of the river below the waste
outfall.
