The data obtaincd during the dyc flow stc,dy conducted on number 3 outfall on
August 13, 1974, are presented in graphic form in Figure

depth in the outlined thcrmal plume area during this period was 6 feet. The dye
monitoring indicated that within 100 yards downstream of the outfall the heated
effluent was restricted to the upper 15 inches layer of reservoir water.
The data obtained during the dye flow study conducted on number 1 outfall on
August 14, 1974, are presented graphically in Figure 2. The minimum water depth
in this outlined area was 6 feet. Dye monitoring again indicated that some 200 yards
lakeward from the outfall that the dye cloud was confined to the upper 15 inch layer
of water.
