Areas of Interest

Integrated pest management of insect pests in urban settings, specializing in termites, ants and wasps, the three most diverse and economically important groups of social insects. Research includes fundamental and applied projects that focus on biology, behavior, physiological and chemical ecology; colony developmental plasticity; social structure; caste differentiation; demographics and expansion pattern of invasive species; development and evaluation of new IPM options, including botanical insecticidal properties, novel compounds, baits, and pest inspection technologies.
