2005 Fire Ant Report

In 2005, three species of phorid flies have been introduced into 14 counties in Alabama.  Two of the species, Pseudacteon tricuspis and P. curvatus, have established throughout the state at a rate of 10-20 miles per year.  See the 2005 Fire Ant Report for other research projects and results in 2005.
