Greetings from Mark Wilton, Development Manager
The College of Agriculture has a long and vibrant history. Since 1872, Auburn agriculture has grown to become recognized as a national and world leader in research, teaching and extension.
Many of our departments and programs are recognized as leaders in their field, and we are striving to make the Auburn University College of Agriculture one of the best in the nation and even the world. In fact, we believe our college will play an important role in the global challenges that will face our world in the coming years.
Here in the College of Agriculture’s Development Office, we take great pride in the role we play in securing private financial support. We’re privileged to work with some of the best folks in the university and the state—many of whom are College alumni or friends.
Private support is essential to maintain the standard of excellence for which the College of Agriculture has been known. These gifts allow us to recruit and retain top faculty, provide students with a high quality educational experience and continue the growth and progress of our programs.
We thank those of you who have already invested in the College of Agriculture. Your gifts have established endowed professorships and helped us award more than $500,000 a year in scholarships to our students.
We have also constructed new buildings such as the Poultry and Animal Nutrition Center and the Aquatic Resource Center. More new buildings are in the works, including a new Equestrian Center and renovations to the Old Dairy Barn to become the Ag Education and Learning Resource Center and Ag Alumni Hall.
I invite you to consider a gift to the College of Agriculture and join our pursuit of excellence. Contact our development team to learn more about finding an opportunity that is meaningful to you.
Thank you and War Eagle!
