ANIMAL BREEDING RESEARCH
Beef cattle breeding and swine breeding research are conducted in the Department of Animal Sciences at Auburn University. This home page summarizes results from on-going research projects in beef cattle and swine breeding. Beef cattle breeding research is conducted at two research farms in the state of Alabama. One herd of cattle is located at the Lower

Coastal Plain Substation in Camden and the other herd is at the Blackbelt Substation in Marion Junction. Two herds of pigs are devoted to swine breeding research. One herd is located at the edge of the Auburn University campus in Auburn and the other herd is located at the Lower Coastal Plain Substation in Camden.

Dr. Lisa A. Kriese leads the beef cattle breeding research program and Dr. Daryl L. Kuhlers coordinates the swine breeding research program. Dr. Nada Nadarajah provide technical support to the swine breeding and beef cattle research programs respectively.
