TIFDWARF - Tifdwarf
bermuda grass, superior for golf greens, has been
equal or superior to Tifgreen on nearly every
score. Its leaves hug the ground so closely that a number of them are never
cut by the greens mower. This characteristic helps to tolerate a 3/16"
cutting height much better than Tifgreen. Its
softer leaves and fewer seed heads also contribute to its superior putting
qualities. Tifdwarf has a darker green color than Tifgreen and requires less fertilizer to make a
comparable degree of greenness. Its basic purple plant color that helps to
keep it looking dark green in the summer time becomes very noticeable when
temperatures drop in the fall.

TIFWAY - Tifway Bermuda is a chance hybrid
between (Cynodon dactylon and C. transvaalensis).
Tifway was released to growers of certified sprigs
by the Georgia Coastal Plain Experiment Station in the spring of 1960. Tifway has excellent weed resistance, good disease
resistance, spreads faster than Tifgreen, has dark
green color and is superior to Tiffine, Tifgreen, and Tiflawn for
fairways, tees, lawns, and similar uses.

ZOYSIA
DE ANZA - De Anza is a hybrid of three Zoysiagrass species: Z. japonica, Z. matrella, and Z. tenuifolia. It forms a moderately dense turf that is propagated vegetatively. Leave blades are flat and bright green in coloration, with longer retention of green coloration in winter. Extended growing season, performs best in full sun. Tolerant of heat and drought stress. Resistant to pests. Good for home lawns, parks and golf courses.

matrella, designed for use for and

maintenance turf areas desiring special appeal. Diamond has superior shade ans salinity tolerance with good resistance to the tawny
mole cricket and fall armyworm.

EL TORO - Licensed by the University of California. El
Toro is a Zoysia japonica,
resembling Meyer in appearance but has a coarser leaf texture. California data indicate that El
Toro has a much faster rate of establishment than Meyer and
displays earlier spring green up. It has low thatch production, shade
tolerance, rust and disease resistance, and good cold tolerance.

EMPIRE™- Empire™ Zoysia
is a native cultivar of Zoysia japonica,
chosen specifically for its ability to reduce production costs while
demonstrating desirable growth characteristics. It has a rapid expansion
rate, is reproduced from rhizomes, and has a high natural chemical resistance
for easier weed control. Empire™ has performed well in sandy and clay soil types
with aggressive growth from its runners and rhizomes, but can be mowed with a
rotary mower due to its broader leaf and open growth habit. Patent pending.

MEYER - Meyer is intermediat in type and leaf width between more open growing, coarse types of common Zoysia and the very dense, finleaf manilagrass. When established, the turf is quite dense and has a dark green color during the growing season. Meyer withstands wear and resists weed invasion under good management practices. It is winter hardy and comparatively drought resistant throughout its region of adaptation. Meyer must be propagated vegtatively.

is distinguished from other zoysiagrasses by its
