Mission:

To increase public education and awareness about, and engagement in, appropriate civic choices regarding the form and livability of Auburn and its ecological region.

Specific Issues:

To increase citizen awareness of community issues and to encourage a wide variety of opportunities for public participation in the planning and development process. To partner with a diverse range of civic organizations and citizens, and with city and county governments, to create an appropriate knowledge base for effective public decision-making. To expand public knowledge of the planning and design tools necessary to implement appropriate civic choices. To encourage a pro-active process for planning and community design. To understand and practice the relationship between an ecologically healthy environment and the quality of life in the greater Auburn area.
