Purpose:
A statewide organization that has been protecting Alabama's environment since 1967. We are an
organization of volunteers who work as individuals or through committees. We act as a citizen's network, collecting information, monitoring situations, and negotiating with government or private organizations on complex conservation issues. Through partnerships at the state and local level, the Alabama Environmental Council strives to protect our shared environmental heritage.
