INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THE USDA/NASS SITE TO OBTAIN LONG-TERM STATISTICAL RESULTS The URL for the site is: www.usda.gov/nass You should see a screen with one of these logos in the right middle-upper corner: "Quick Stats" "On-Line Data Base" Click on the logo The URL changes to: www.nass.usda.gov:81/ipedb/ The URL remains the same from here on regardless of what is on the screen. "IPEDB" stands for "International Published Estimates Data Base" From the left half of the screen, select "U.S. and State Data" Select the general product desired, such as "Grains" Select the particular product desired, such as "Corn for Grain" Select the geographical scope, such as the entire US or any particular state Create the time frame in years, such as 1900-2000 Select the interval, such as every 5 years (the default is every year) Initiate the search through the button at the bottom If you wish, you can save the results after they appear
