Features Glabrous, rhizomatous perennial sedge common throughout the southeast. Globe like seedhead with leaves subtending.
Description Almost indistinguishable from green kyllinga. Green kyllinga is primarily restricted to coastal or tropical environments. False-green is found more inland from Florida to Kentucky and to Connecticut. Green kyllinga produces small teeth along seed edge, false-green does not. Both are common in wet areas.
