Professional Activities:
My research program at Auburn has centered upon:
1) basic pedological research, and
2) the utilization of geospatial applications in the soil science and agronomic realms.

Honors and Awards:
  • Recipient of Auburn Alumni Association Undergraduate Teaching Excellence Award (2008)
  • Coached Auburn Soil Judging team in first place finish in 2003 National Soil Judging Contest, and 2001, 2002 and 2005 Southeastern Regional Soil Judging Contests.
  • Recipient of 2002 American Society of Agronomy (ASA)-Southeastern Branch Early Career Research Award
  • President, Auburn University's Gamma Sigma Delta -Honor Society for the College of Agriculture (00-02)
  • Recipient of 2002 & 2008 Agronomy and Soils Department (Agronomy Club) Outstanding Teacher Award
  • Elected chair of Soil Science Society of America Division S-9 (Soil Mineralogy)
