Master of Turfgrass Management

This program is directed towards professionals working in areas related to the turfgrass industry.  It includes a capstone experience.  Applicants with three or more years of experience will be given preference.

32 graduate credit hours including:

AGRN 7956 Seminar  (1 credit)
AGRN 6906 Directed Studies  (3 credits)
AGRN 6936 Advanced Directed Studies  (3 credits)

AGRN 6806 Soil Resources and Conservation 
AGRN 6306 Soil Chemistry
AGRN 6066 Soil Microbiology Lecture
AGRN 6061 Soil Microbiology Lab
PLPA 6506  Plant Nematology 
ENTM 6366 Landscape Entomolog
AGRN 7146 Chemistry and Use of Herbicides in Crop Production
AGRN 6xxx  Advanced Management of Turfed Soils  (in development)
AGRN 6156 Advanced Turfgrass Management  

Required Undergraduate Courses in Pest and Crop Management

(these are required if you have not had an equivalent course prior to enrolling)

AGRN 2040 or AGRN 2043 Basic Soil Science
AGRN 3150 or AGRN 3153 Turfgrass Management
AGRN 1000 or AGRN 1003 Basic Crop Science

At least one of the following:  PLPA 3000 or PLPA 3003: General Plant Pathology, ENTM 4020 Basic Entomology or ENTM 2043 Insects, an Introduction to Entomology, or AGRN 3120 or AGRN 3123 Principles of Weed Science.
