The 2008 Fishing Tournament will be Thursday morning, May 22, at the 20-acre “VIP Pond” at the Fisheries Research Station at North Auburn. Breakfast will be served prior to the tournament. Anglers can keep fish over six pounds and fish nine pounds and over will be mounted. Prizes will be awarded for the largest stringer and largest single in both bass and bream.

Proceeds from the fishing tournament will go to the Department of Fisheries & Allied Aquacultures.

Directions to the site: From I-85, take Exit 51. Go north on Highway 29 through Auburn. Cross Shug Jordan Parkway and turn left onto County Raod 72. After 1 mile, turn right onto Auburn Lakes Road. Pong s6 is on the left.
