Parent Council

The College of Agriculture’s Parent Council provides ongoing communication between the college and parents of current students by promoting parental involvement in and support of the college.

History

The College of Agriculture Parent Council (PC) was initiated during Camp War Eagle sessions in the summer of 2007. A historic meeting of the organization was held on April 12, 2008 to discuss, among other things, the vision and purpose for the PC. A newsletter was created, coordinated meetings, special events, maintained member data bases and communicated with membership on matters of importance. A constitution and by-laws was ratified and election of officers held in 2009.

Vision

The College of Agriculture PC is a networked community of parents who have two things in common, they have children attending Auburn and majoring in
agriculture plus they care about the college - its heritage, family culture and
future. Membership in the Parent Council will be an important opportunity for parents to strengthen their connection and commitment to strengthening the College of Agriculture by providing robust feedback to student services,
engaging in informational exchange, assisting in recruitment and fundraising while supporting each other during their child’s collegiate experience.

Mission
• The mission of the College of Agriculture Parent Council is to foster and
strengthen the relationship between the College of Agriculture and parents of

• Members of PC seek to build the PC base
